Employee Requirements

If you have any specific skill(s) like fly fishing, wrangling, cooking, working on car engines, computers, etc, please let us know when you fill out the application online. This will help us put you into a department best for you and for the ranch.

Employment will depend on the dates you are able to work, what jobs are available, and of course your references and past job history. Harmel’s is a summer operation, therefore, offering only full-time, summer seasonal work. As the summer progresses, you may be expected to fill any or all of our ranch jobs. You must be in good health and must be able to work every day of the month.

We hire primarily college-aged staff from all over the States and some from outside the country. Harmel’s staff members are top-drawer young people with appreciation and respect for our country and our western lifestyle. They are sharp, well groomed, well-mannered, respectful of Harmels, our guests and fellow co-workers. At Harmels, our staff associates closely with each other and our guests. We encourage our young people to take part in all of our guest activities and to use our facilities. Our staff is expected to maintain our casual dress code. There are no pets allowed for any of our seasonal employees.

This is a great place for Colorado Summer Employment! You must be at least 18 years old. If you are selected, you may not be assigned any specific job before you arrive, all employees are hired as “team players”. Being a Team Player means you are agreeing to work at whatever job we ask you to, even if it’s not the specific job you were hired for. We do our jobs, and then really enjoy the mountain lifestyle.
