Colorado Dude Ranch, Guest Ranch Jobs, Employment
Harmel's offers seasonal summer employment. This summer we will open on 26 May 2017 and officially close on 18 September 2017. When filling out the application, you will be prompted to state your exact dates you are able to work. We understand some people need to go back to school - we do have a few positions available that allow for shortened dates. Please take the time to make sure you are available for the dates you list. Thank you for taking an interest in Harmel's Ranch Resort!
We hire primarily college-aged staff from all over the States and some from outside the country. Harmel's staff members are top-drawer young people with appreciation and respect for our country and our western lifestyle. They are sharp, well groomed, well-mannered, respectful of Harmel's, our guests and fellow co-workers. We also have many staff members return every summer, some for more than 10 years. At Harmel's, our staff associates closely with each other and our guests. We encourage our young people to take part in all of our guest activities and to use our facilities. Our staff is expected to maintain our casual dress code. There are no pets allowed for any of our seasonal employees, with the exception of bringing your own horse (and only if you are hired as a wrangler).
We will be happy to consider your application for Colorado summer employment.
This is a great place for Colorado Summer Employment! You must be at least 18 years old. If you are selected, you may not be assigned any specific job before you arrive, all employees are hired as "team players". Being a Team Player means you are agreeing to work at whatever job we ask you to, even if it's not the specific job you were hired for. We do our jobs, and then really enjoy the mountain lifestyle. We are fortunate to have 1.6 million acres of the Gunnison National Forest as our backyard. It's also easy for our employees to take advantage of all we have to offer our guests. During your off time you may enjoy whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing (in private gold medal quality waters), hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, massages, laundry facilities, and more. Not to mention, all of the strong and lasting friendships established between the seasonal employees that work here.
Please Note: Our resort is here because of our guests. This is not a resort just for the staff. While you are encouraged to enjoy what Harmel's has to offer, you will also need to be mindful of our guests. Our staff is expected to be respectful, well-groomed, and helpful to our guests "on or off the clock."
